I Will Be Back Soon!

It has been crazy here at Farming On Faith. We are packing and getting ready for the move.

My laptop died so I am posting from my phone ..... Where would we be without our smart phones?

I just wanted to say I am so thankful for your prayers and sweet comments! I get them on my phone. I have read each one. They have been such a blessing to me..... You will never know how much they have meant!

I know God has great things in store as we continue to follow His leading.

I have dried up the tears..... I got this! I am excited to post pictures of our new little Farming On Faith soon!

Psalms 119:7 I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.

It's Time To Let It Go~

All the dealing is done and inspections are over. We are good to move. I have been sorting through "stuff" that I have saved for years. The baby cradle, the girl's prom dresses, my grandmother's rocking chair and so much more. For the most part ~if I don't use it then I am letting it go.  I just don't have the room in my new home to store "stuff." After all~ memories take up less room than all the "stuff."

Life is much like that. I mean we hang on to "stuff" we don't need like grudges, bitterness, should haves , could haves, would haves and unforgiveness. When all it really does is weigh us down and takes more energy to hold it ~store it and dust it.

The move will be much easier with all this added "stuff" gone. Not only will I not have to move it but once I get to the new house I won't be stressed to find a place for it.

God wants us to let our emotional baggage go. He gave His Son to die for all our sin and we no longer have to carry around the baggage from it once He enters into our life.

He can take all the wrongs and make them right. He can give us the power to forgive when the judges and jury say we have the right to hate. He can take our broken roads and make them straight. Nothing is impossible with God.

I am here to tell you it is so liberating to just let it go!

Ephesians 4:22-24

King James Version (KJV)
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Basking In His Love~ No Longer Homeless

This is my new granddaughter~Olivia Hannah~ as you can see she is just beautiful.
She looks just like her momma did and of course that is like stepping back in time.
I am planning when I can sneak back to Washington for another smooch.

Thank you for your prayers for my son-in-love. He is home.
So thankful for his safe return.
I feel very blessed that he arrived home safe and sound.

Boston is very happy to have Uncle Jacob home too.

We are no longer homeless. Our new home is just a couple miles down our little country road but on the other side of the county line. In a way it will feel much like home. God is good and we believe He led us to our new home.

I wish I could tell you that I passed this test in life I have been taking but I would not exactly say I have. I wouldn't say I have failed but I sure am grieving the process of giving up our home. It is bittersweet. I will miss this little farming on faith that we have created. Such sweet memories we created. God knows the future so for now I will trust that He knows best without stomping my feet.

Jude1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Everything will not always be just as we want it to be in life. If so ~ I would never make any changes. I like life to be predictable~ unchanging ~ safe and peaceful. But that is just not the case now is it?

One thing that keeps my feet grounded in this ever changing life is that God and His love are always the same. He never changes. It is at times like this I remind myself that I must "keep" myself in the love of God. That does not mean we have to act in some special way for Him to love us~ although we should have a desire to please Him. When we become His child ~ He loves us when we pass the test in life and He loves us even when we fail. Instead~ it means that we should think or bask in the warmth of His love all day long. Sometimes ~ we just forget to do this. I know lately I sure have.

Romans 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

He loved us before we were born and He loves us now. It is our identity in Christ~ it's who we are~ God's beloved children. (Even if we have to move across the county line.)

Jesus loves me this I know.
For the Bible tell me so.
Little ones to Him belong~
they are weak but He is strong.
Yes~ Jesus loves me.
Yes~ Jesus loves me.
Yes~ Jesus loves me.
The Bible tells me so.

We Are Homeless~

Good Morning Blog Friends~

I have been missing from Blog Land~ but I am missing you all. It is funny how life can change in a moment's notice. We have sold our home that we built as our retirement home. It is required that the we move back to city limits for my husband's new position. I have to be honest I am so going to miss my little Farming on Faith~ the chickens, the garden, orchard and waking up to all the visitors on my pond.

We truly felt God's leading in this move. We found a house that we really liked and it has a huge swimming pool which was making all I was leaving behind a little more do-able. At the same time we were signing papers to sell ours ~ someone else was signing papers to buy the home we were planning to buy. We have been frantically searching for a home with none that seem to fit our needs. Would you please join me in prayer that we would find the home we are to buy?  I so do not want to have to rent a place and move twice.

What I am learning? I am so not sure because I keep confessing to God that I am so sorry but I am not passing this test. The home we were going to buy had been for sale for over a year. I can't help but  believe that is a closed door from the Lord.

I do know that God has never failed me yet~ and I have confidence He will not do so now.

So for today~ I am trusting that any day God will reveal His next step for us to take.

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
