Happily Ever After~ Six Secrets to a Successful Marriage

Dr. Gary Chapman is the author of the bestselling book ~ The Five Love Languages~ which sold more than 6 million copies. And he has just written Happily Ever After. It encompasses wisdom from The Five Love Languages but goes much deeper in the trials that married couples encounter today.

Lets face it~ even the best of marriages will have some bumps in the road now and then. The whole secret to a long lasting marriage that is still alive is how you handle the troubles and trials of life as a couple. We all have troubles and trials~ no marriage is exempt.

I am so thankful for the man I am married to~ but even after all these years we still argue about certain issues. Like~ I like the internal temperature at about 67 degrees all year long. He likes it about 70 degrees in the winter and 75 degrees in the summer. I am always having my own personal summer. He is a "less is more person." I think~" the bigger the better. "If a little is good ~ a lot is so much better. "He is very cheap~ sorry Love! I am fashionably frugal ~ but spend money when I really want to. I just like to get a a lot for my money!  We are real people who live a real life here at the Shindorf home. Sometimes we disagree. In the end I would not want to face this life without him.

Dr. Chapman shows couple how to fight fair, negotiate change, manage money, raise kids, maintain a healthy intimate life and how to get along with in-laws.

He writes with 30 years of counseling experience and a world of real life examples~ all based in Biblical wisdom. His goal is to help couples learn how to understand each other and grow as a couple for years to come.

I highly recommend this book and I give it 5 stars~
