Genesis 50:20 (King James Version)
But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
In William Borden's Bible upon his death, were these words: No Reserves, No Retreats, No Regrets. How can we make sure we have No Regrets?
I think I have found the answer. Living God's will ~ never brings regret. If I seek every day of my life to follow~ to the best of my ability~ A Living, Holy, All Knowing God and obey Him then I will have No Regrets! He is more than capable to take us through this incredible journey of life~blessing us and caring for us each step at a time.
Joseph was a great example of this. At the end of Joseph's life he makes it clear in the Bible that all along the way in his journey~the Lord had a greater plan and a purpose for the places, people and circumstances that Joseph had to deal with! Joseph was hated by his brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused by a woman, wrongly imprisoned and forgotten in prison. In spite of all these injustices, he realised God had a bigger plan! As Joseph looked back on his life he saw God's provision, protection, blessing and timing and he had No Regrets for trusting God.
Have you ever thought how different it might have been for Joseph if he had chosen to walk his own way instead of God's?
The regrets I do have are when I chose to go Carrie's way and handle things the way Carrie wanted to handle them instead of going God's way!
As we follow God's will for our lives we will have No Regrets. I can gladly report there are No Regrets in following God!
