Well you are probably wondering why a Grammy would want this book so let me explain. We just welcomed our newest member to the family~ Miss Olivia Hannah. In case you think I am slacking I am not~ my mother intuition is still very much reliable. However~ things change from year to year to years ago. (Ok~ I said I was a Grammy.) I wanted to be up to date with all the "new" stuff. Now ~mind you I still may let age old wisdom rule most of the time.
Such as my daughter was shocked to hear that when she was born the nursery gave nursing mothers little bottles of glucose water for in between feedings. I would take along those little bottles when we were at church or on an outing. Today of course sugar is very bad. Some changes are good ~ some not so good.
I still say that a seasoned mom always knows best. I raised my children with good advice from all the women who had walked this path before me. That is what Erin does with this newly written 2013 book. She gives some new advice with some good ol' Momma intuition.
Erin MacPherson's did a wonderful job of taking the new and tossing in some mother advice. She helps with how you feel after you give birth, problems and issues of everything from nursing to colic. But what I love the most is her spiritual encouragement to young moms. In the end it is her goal to raise kids who have Christ centered in their lives.
This would make a wonderful gift to new moms and dated Grandmothers~ :)
