Sometimes I feel invisible~ do you ever feel like that? I know that people see me. Caleb sees his mom who helps him with school and serves him food. Brian sees his wife. The girls see the mom they can call when they need a mother. My friends see a person to have fun with and share their heart with. On and on we can go with all the things we are known for ~the things we do.
But sometimes I wonder if anyone really sees the me underneath all those different hats I wear. My stars~ sometimes I wonder at times if I have become the roles that I play so well that I lost myself.
Some days we just go through the motions filling our day with people, activities and busyness and at the end of the day you wonder if anyone notices the real you under all those hats. The fear that troubles your soul. The dreams you have and the adventures you would love to take. We show such a spit and polished surface to the world but how many people really see underneath those hats?
The good news my friend is that when you have a day when you feel no one sees you~ there is One who does see under your mask. He sees your fears, your hurts, and your dreams. God sees and knows the real you. He sees you even in your weakest moments and darkest days.
Remember Hagar from the Bible. She was the servant of Sara who was used and abused to bear a child that Sara could call her own. She was rejected, pregnant and eventuality kicked to the curb~ the wilderness curb that is. I am sure she felt there was not a single soul who really cared enough to look at her hurting soul. BUT GOD~ saw her.
Genesis 16:13
And she called the name of the Lord that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?
When God sees you he doesn't see the roles you play or the facade you plaster on your face. No~ He sees you just as you are. He sees you as His Creation. He sees a person who is fearfully and wonderfully made. He sees your fears, and your hurts. He dreams along with you to do the big things He put in your heart to do. He sees the real you and He loves you!
No matter where you are today~ overwhelmed ~ burdened~ or on top of the world ~ rest assured God sees you.
Now that is reason to celebrate today!
