Good Morning Blog Friends~
This morning I am thankful for all the blessings in my life. I am so blessed. How about you ~ have you counted your blessings this morning?
It is a cold ~ frosty morning here at Farming on Faith but I woke up in a warm home. I had breakfast with a handsome man and I am now spending time with an Awesome God.
Our economy is in a crisis. But ~ Americans are rich. We are blessed. You may think~ maybe you're rich but I am not. Did you have a hot shower this morning? Did you wake up in a warm home this morning? Are you feeling well today? Do you have a family~ a roof over you head~shoes on you feet and food on your table?
This morning I got early to study~ I fixed a vanilla coffee with Praline Creamer~ went to my computer and typed in a word and found any Bible verse I wanted~ all while curled up in a warm blanket. Yep~ I am rich! And so are you.
We best not ever get too high-minded. From the beginning God told us that riches are uncertain. So why do we stress when Fox News tells us we are living in uncertain economic times? God already told us not to trust in our riches.
Just maybe America has become too high minded thinking we are entitled. Do you think just maybe~ it is God who is trying to teach us a lesson not to trust in our riches. I think just possibly so. We need to trust in the living God.
Do you ever think we may have too much~ kind-of-like a spoiled child always wanting more. We feel as though we are entitled to more and more.17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
-1 Timothy 6:17-18Never let finical difficulties make you doubt God. He knows what struggles you are facing. He cares for you. So how is your faith and finances?
If today your world fell apart~ you lost your job~ lost your health and all you had as Job did ~would you lose your faith? You see I think God wants us to come to a place in life where if all we had was God~ He would be enough. I sure hope that I could say so!
