The Lesson~ IPAD GIVEAWAY And Review

If you visit Farming On Faith often you know I have a love for the Amish. I love to read Amish books and visit the Amish as often as I can. One of my favorite authors is Suzanne Woods Fisher. She feels like a friend. I follow her on facebook and in the blog world. She leaves me comments and we have chatted a time or two.

But what I really love about Suzanne is that when I really want a time out in this fast paced life~ I can pick up one of her books and I am never disappointed.  I am  carried away to the quiet life as if I myself were getting to be apart of the simple life that I admire so much.

This book is the third book to the Stoney Ridge Seasons~ and of course you know I have read them all. I recommend buying all the books but this book stands alone as well.

I loved this book. MK instantly grabbed my attention as a young Amish girl who just does not fit in the box. I sort of like people who don't march to the same ol' drum. She is constantly looking for excitement to only find herself in trouble. She finds her little Amish community boring and is always stirring up something.

When an unknown young man  comes to town she decides to play detective and thinks she has it all figured out~ or does she. This book answers the family secrets and concludes the ending to the series. I know you will not want to miss this book~ I loved it!

Suzanne~ you have done it again. Great Book!

{MORE ABOUT THE LESSON}

Centered on one of Suzanne Woods Fisher’s most loved characters, this is the story fans have eagerly anticipated. The precocious M.K. is all grown up (well, almost) and ready to take on the world–with surprising results. Fisher’s trademark plot twists and turns are as unexpected and satisfying as ever in this third book in the Stoney Ridge Seasons series.
In her wildest dreams, spunky and impulsive nineteen-year-old Mary Kate Lapp never imagined herself behind a schoolteacher’s desk. A run-in (literally) with the schoolteacher compels her to act as a substitute teacher, just as her restless desire to see the world compels her to apply for a passport . . . just in case. The only thing of interest to M.K. in the sleepy Amish community of Stoney Ridge is the unexplained death of a sheep farmer that coincided with the arrival of a mysterious young man into the community. Frustrated that no one takes the crime seriously, she takes matters into her own hands. Unfortunately, as tends to be the case for M.K., she jumps headlong into trouble.
