Jeremiah 15:16
Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.
Jeremiah ~ many centuries ago~ expressed just how the Word of God nourished his soul in this verse. Year by year~ as I get another year older I have come to think like Jeremiah.
The Word of God is my guidebook for living. When I am confused~ I get answers. When I a am hurting ~ I get comfort. When I am joyful ~ I find praise. As I read the Word of God ~ I grow. As I digest it I find strength.
But most importantly as I digest the sweet words of My Heavenly Father~ I learn to know and love Him more. I can't imagine trying to make it through this life without God. I am so blessed to get to know the God of the Universe through His Word.
May we apply the Word of God to our hearts and lives today. As we do He will quiet our hearts and give us peace and joy. Oh~ Happy Day!
Hebrews 5:12
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
