Life Is Beautiful!

I am doing the happy dance this morning. I have been without my laptop for a couple of months now. When that UPS man showed up with my new Apple in that cute little box I almost hugged his neck.

This morning I opened up my blog and read several comments and emails from you~ my girlie friends in Christ. I was so blessed~ I have missed you all.

 Roxy~ you are a blessing to me too. Patty~ Farming On Faith is all our hearts~ so right! Betsy~ enjoy those grandbabies! Tanya~ hope you are having a great new school year and I am looking forward to a text. We really must to do lunch at Zona Rosa ! Soon! Tammy~ you were so close! One of this times we should meet for tea~ my Missouri Friend.  Ann~ I will send an email soon~ I promise. Congratulations to your boy!

I woke up this morning and listened to this song.



I can't help but count my blessings. I do sometimes hold my breath when I pass by our retirement home on our way to church. I even may get a little tearful when I see Sami and Ruby in the yard but I know God has a plan and I can trust him. I am so blessed.

 We really are happy at our new home and have been making it our own. It is a wonderful little neighborhood and such sweet neighbors. My Brian has worked at making things just the way I want them~ what a man!  These are the times that make us realize that we have it all. Life is beautiful!

  I loved Erma Bombeck . In case you don't happen to know who she was ~ she was one of America's most well-loved writers. She had a way of writing about the everyday life as a wife and mother that made us laugh. She was very successful and despite her fame and fortune, Erma said, " My legacy is going to be (my) three kids."

In a day and age when the family is shredding with disintegrating values and moral decline I want to be a woman who makes a difference. What a wise statement from such a wise woman. It is in a secure environment of the family that life's most valuable lessons are taught and learned.

Oh ~ I want to leave a Godly legacy in the lives of my children so that they can go on and pass that legacy on to others. Sharing the Gospel and God's love is far more important than my own interest, what house I live in, what car I drive or the latest fashions I wear. Like Erma~ I want to affirm that my family is my most important legacy.

Yep~ these are the times that remind me that I have it all! Life is beautiful!

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me'.
