Have What You Want~ But Want What You Have

I am pegging at these keys with a hot cup of coffee and some Caramel Macchiato creamer watching geese float on my pond. What a beautiful morning. The summer is upon us and I am ready to see this school year come to an end.

I was enjoying myself immensely~ then the geese start squawking. I mean if the neighbors are not awake ~ they are by now. I watch closely as they seem to be yelling at each other as if their lives were in danger. I listen and observe this scene for a good 10 minutes. I think it must be a mating pair, for they seem to be having a husband and wife disagreement. Ha~ can't seem to tell who is winning for sure. They must have figured it out for the auguring stops and all sudden they take flight and head in the same direction together~ south- east~over our home and on their way. I am just sure they were making plans.
I was reminded even by these visitors of mine that this time of resting and a regrouping has come to an end. It is time to get busy.

The wedding is behind us~it was just beautiful!
And I so enjoyed my time with family.

 B waiting patiently for Grammy
 to get the Easter egg colors ready.

 Oh we had so much fun! I miss this boy so much!

 Boston spent Easter at Grammy's house ~
and he liked his chocolate bunny.

 A new tradition is born~ smores made from Easter basket candy which included chocolate bunnies and  colorful peeps.
I enjoyed having my Washington baby here~
I need to plan a visit soon~
I am so very homesick for my
Washington babies!
However ~ they are having a great time without me! LOL
Our baby turned Sweet 16~

 Now it is time to make some plans just like my visitors.
How about you?
Do you have summer plans?

 Five Things That Rob Us Of Our Time

Isaiah 30:15

King James Version (KJV)
 For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel;
In returning and rest shall ye be saved;
in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength:
 and ye would not.

Here are some things that keep us from the "returning and rest" that we need.

1. Doing too many things at one time. We must prioritize our task.

2. Doing everything yourself. Learn to delegate certain task. We just can't do it all.

3. Sometimes you need to just say "NO". It is important to balance family, personal time and work time.

4. Putting things off. Make a list and do the next thing on the list. Don't put off a dreaded chore. Either do it right away, hire or barter it done~ or forget it.

5. Failing to plan. The Bible says where there is no vision~ the people perish. Successful time managers make a plan and prioritize.

My coffee is now cold~ so I will warm mine up. Make yourself a quick cup of coffee or tea. Come and join me. Take out a notebook and Bible ~ read your favorite verse in the Scriptures. Let your heart and mind rest in confidence that the steps of a good man~ or woman are ordered by the Lord. Let Him restore your soul today. Now I am off to make my summer plans.

My dreaded chore~ the chicken coop.
