This little buck was my visitor yesterday. He seemed confused and lost. I am sure hoping he found his way. He ran right in front on our house and across our yard to Mr. Butch's house. I hope he comes back to visit~ well maybe after I eat all the raspberries first. Like the hummingbirds~ I am not so good at sharing. Well~ I mean raspberries are my favorite after all!
1 Kings 10:9
Do you remember how free you felt on the last day of school? Back when I was a child and that final bell rang I felt a sense of FREEDOM! Woo hoo~ it was a celebration. It meant fun in the sun. This girl loves the sun and water~ still to this day it is what I love to do most in the summer. Time to get a Diet Coke~ float in the pool with a good book. My kind of play.
What ever happened to those good ol' days? Perhaps it is time to recapture them.
Here is my list of summer plans~( I mean that was my preaching to me earlier in the week! I did listen.)
The Dreaded Chores~
- Organize my storage room
- Organize my closet ******SIGH
- Organize my craft room
- Prepare for a Garage Sale ~ Autumn
Ok~ so I told you it was a rough school year. That is all I am expecting of myself. I am thinking maybe I will get it all done next week so I can play the rest of the summer.
For all those type A personalities out there like me~ hear me out while I am preaching to me again. We need to build in a little playtime at the end of the work day. I am just so horrible~ rotten at this. But I wasn't as a young girl. I think we need to turn up the music ~ I just love that song~ make a little noise. Move our tired muscles and flex them a bit~ take some walks. (even if we are scared of snakes and wild coyote )
We all know the saying, "All work and no play makes for a very dull day." Not only will the day be dull but we will be dull too!
The Lord made us with the capacity for fun, with the ability to smile and laugh. Maybe we need to kick up our heels and experience that freedom of summer like we did when we were kids.
God created this world for us to enjoy and to enjoy with Him. He truly delights in what we delight in.
My Fun Summer Projects~
- Fish in my pond and eat what I catch (Well I can try anyways!)
