Proverbs 31:25-26
Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
It is said that a woman has 20,000 words a day and a man has 7,000. Not sure if it is true or not but I do know that we all eventually open our mouths and talk. Some are natural talkers ~ some not so much but either way you still talk. Is it 20,000 or 7,000 words of kindness?
Every time we get on facebook or twitter or a blog we are a published author. We are writers but we don't have an editor. Sometimes I read what people post on facebook and think you really don't want to post that!
My husband/educator is quick to edit my work~ he often corrects me. I can post something and in my mind it sounds like I meant it to~ but then I get a call from a sweet someone in my life asking~ "What did you mean by that?" They have a whole different way of taking it ~ not at all how I meant it. Then I have to go back and edit it.
We all have an editor ~ Jesus Christ. The problem is we speak ~ post~ write before we ask for wisdom from Him. We can't take back words once they leave our mouths.
The world tells us to not let people walk on us or take advantage but God tells me to love my enemies. It is easy to be kind to those who are nice to me and do nice things for me. It is not easy to love those that don't like me.
I want to be a person who opens her mouth with wisdom and I want my 20,000 words today to be kind.
and to brotherly kindness charity.
