Psalm 90:12
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Good Morning~
The March winds are blowing here at Farming On Faith this morning. Hope you are having a good day. It has been just crazy busy here with Hannah's wedding just one month away. Today is the final fitting for her dress. The final touches are now being made.
Life sure has away of getting away from us. We seem to sail through life thinking everything is just fine~only to find out we are more fragile than we thought. It takes only a phone call to remind us that life is short and uncertain. There are no guarantees!
In the verse above~ the Psalmist gives us sort of a warning label~ to number our days. As I am preparing my baby girl to leave home~ I realize just how quickly time has flown. My only regret is that I did not cherish the moments more. She is going to be a beautiful bride and a wonderful wife to Jacob.
It seems the years have a way of coldly reminding us that life needs to be handled with care. I want to live each day as it were my last moment on this earth~ loving more~ forgiving ~ giving more~ and showing more kindness.
Yesterday ~ coming home a cat darted out in front of me on our little ~ too narrow road. I swerved to miss it~ just like they tell you not to do. The car tilted and seemed to be moving on its side mainly on only two wheels and it was a bit tense for a few moments. It reminded me that one day will be my last day. What if it were today? I don't want to leave with any should have~ could haves or would haves. How about you?
I think it is a wise woman who handles life with care~
Yesterday is gone~ never to return.
Tomorrow is uncertain~ It may not be mine.
But today is here~ it must be used wisely
