Happy Monday~

Good Morning Blog Friends~

It feels a bit like Winter here at Farming on Faith. I am preparing myself for a 38 degree walk this morning. I am getting the feeling that we will not be having an Indian Summer.  But~ I am  excited for the Holidays. I just love this time of year.

This morning I read about one of today's booming corporations. It began in 1916 as a carpenter's shop in Denmark. When the Great Depression came along the housing market crashed so it became a toy manufacturer. It produced  mostly wooden toys ~ the company burned down to the ground in 1960. The company decided to stake its future on little interlocking plastic bricks that it had been making. Today we know this company as the fifth- largest toymaker in the world with annual sales of $1 billion. It is know by the name of~ Lego.

Sometimes we just have some tough things in life to deal with~ now don't we?

But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. Genesis 50:20

Joseph in the Bible didn't have it so easy before his success. He encountered many calamities along his journey~ I just love Joseph.  He was sold by his own brothers. (Talk about some rejection being served up.) He was falsely accused of sexual assault and put in prison. He was left there to rot in prison by so called friends who promised to help him. But in spite of all these obstacles~ Joseph rose to the top~ second in command to Pharaoh. He saved many lives and forgave his brothers and lavished them with his success.

We are really good at looking at success but ignoring the difficulties and suffering that came before it. There are situations in our lives that we can't control~ rejection, betrayal, unfaithfulness. We can't control these circumstances but we can control how we react to them.

Are you dealing with a difficult situation this morning? Take it to God and leave the outcome to Him. He can be trusted to work it out and turn it into success.

I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea,
thy law is within my heart. Psalm 40:8 KJV
